Two years ago, when I first attended Pratt Institute, I began practcing yoga with a wonderful teacher I called Fiala. I took his class three semesters over the course of two years. In the beginning, it was hard for me to clear my mind and be in the moment. As I continued to practice, I focused more on my breathing along with being conscience of the place I was at that particular time - not blaming myself for not focusing on days where these techniques did not go as smoothly. I am always perfecting my practice and enjoy working with different instructors as everyone has a unique way of teaching and doing physical, mental and spiritual yoga.
The day I arrived in Copenhagen, my roommate took me to a yoga class taught by her friend's father Claus. He was extremely pleased that I attended the class and was impressed that I was doing yoga just hours after my flight had arrived. I enjoyed his class so much that I attended a second class Sunday afternoon. This class was taught completely in Danish except for the compliments Claus would direct towards me regarding my beautiful poses......remember breathe and be conscience he began as I entered the class. Challenging yet rewarding this has been one of my favorite parts of Denmark so far.
